Cant even do 1 normal pull up crew

that is fucking pathetic tbh, you've been going gym for years, idc if not consistently lol. beyond ridiculous

I probably could to be fair. 3 would defiantly be too many though lol

And haven't been since June this year lol. Like you said my consistency sucks. I get proper motivated for like 3 days then miss a day, get depressed and give up for that week. Next year living with two people who hit the gym quite hard and Hopefully bully me into it!

Saw an osteopath yesterday with weightlifting/power lifting experience.  Had accupuncture with a small voltage of electricity going through neck, large amount of fascia manipulation around traps/back and readjustment of spine.  Guy knew his shit, was impressed by his knowledge.  Apparently my upper traps are so dominant that they take over during most pull and push exercises, putting great strain on them which is why I get neck/jaw/nerve compression.   Apparently thisis due to excessive internal rotation as well.  He said I need to work on mid and lower trap activiation with ALL exercises.  Scapula protraction, followed by depression, back and down.   No deadlifts or exercises where my upper traps are utilized too much until my mid-lower trap catch up in terms ofactivation and strength.  He did say that I'd never need to shrug because my traps will get overloaded enough due to how tonic they are.   Consultation was an hour long and cost me $100.   Was worth every dollar in my opinion.  I have an appointment with him next week again to follow up and I'll probably have to see him at least 10-15 times before all my fucking broken body problems ( jaw, neck, traps, scap, shoulders, wrists/forearms)  are near solved.   Brb 1.3k later.  Worth EVERY cent if it gets me back to 100%.

eh don't even bother if you're not proper into it. no point spinning your wheels for years on end, it's obv not for everybody.

Thats the problem lol. I have no motivation at all. My only motivation is to look better and thats it. You get people who go to the gym to be happy with their body but i'm pretty happy with it atm..

Gonna try just forcing myself into a routine where I always go after my last uni class of that day and hope to be one of those people who just go to the gym because its what they do/routine  (didnt explain that well at all lol)

I just regret I didn't start sooner

Also pretty gay as I have polycystic kidney disease and have been advised I should get checked by my specialist on if it is alright for me to take creatine, did as much research as I could and I am like 80% sure he will tell me to stop taking it

think i just started cuz i was bored at college inbetween lessons. and prob for girls too.

now i'm so addicted that i legit get withdrawal symptoms and mild depression if i don't go for a few days. not even sure why i'm still so bothered.... i couldn't care less about my strength progression and i'm happy with my current physique. maybe its the irrational fear of losing muscle or i'm just addicted to the actual activity of lifting weights and the dopamine sensation that follows.

if ur happy with ur body and u need to force urself to go and lift then why bother, like pig king said its not for everyone

it seems like u have no real reason for it so why go and do something u dont really like mate

enthusiasm is needed here, forcing yourself can only do good so far but you need to really love it and then you get the motivation

in the end it feels like its part of your life, or just a ''routine'', thats what i was told off when i met my old class m8 after years, he's been competing for a while now

In all honesty we all need exercise, ~the fact taht you think that you are happy with your body already is just an excuse ur sub conscious is gving you to skip gym. Amongst every other stupid ass excuse everyone else has, like "im too tired; its raining; I didnt sleep properly; I have work;" that shit is just excuses after excuses
