I'm 17 right now and nearly 18, but the only time i actually get on is when i have no other things to do. I feel the need to attend trips but to be honest, life is a priority.

and the game sucks =\

If you want an honest answer: no, it's not alright to be 20 years old and still play RS. The game is passive; to be ambitious requires nothing but endless time. When you look back on your day and realize you haven't done something new, or put your mind or body to work, you do not live. Your consciousness is defined by what you do not only what you think.  The question you are posing in the title is your chance to break down and understand why you play. Removing RS from your life in one blow can not be easy, because it is time that you generally do not spend on other things. The 'other things' are there, and they do not involve computer screens or TV's. The other things are in future friends, in the world, in books, in nature, in sports, family, volunteer work, in the pursuit of truth. When you are 13, 15, 16, you're in high school, it's acceptable to be sheltered. You are not in high school anymore. Find yourself. And it won't be on the internet. PM me if you have any questions.

Much love,

Red

Perfect for porn much?..

Parents open the door and your sitting there in an awkward position

-> Perfect solution is to put ur computer in your closet and that gives you time to click the [X] button

Thanks Tj =D

This is what I loved about you, just good constructive posting.

I understand what your saying Redbird, imo it all depends on what your actually doing.

You know what I do while I'm playing rs? What the fuck I like, I put on my mate (jagex edit :)) just to do w/e and I'll go Halo, chill with mates, chill with my girl, doo paperwork for my job. That AINT time I would have spend otherwise, cuz I'd be doing the same thing just without the robo mate (edit) doing it for me. you are speaking the truth though, but imo your pushing it a bit. You might be busy every day doing shit, but I don't got shit to do. I'm not interested ( enough ) to go study the nature or books. I'll watch discovery channel or national rofl.

I've already finished my  college, got a job at the bank. Perfectly fine. I come home after work and I either go chill right away or go chill at my crib with my mates or with my girl. And sometimes if I don't play Halo with mates we are actually pking together, so that's quality time with best friends :).

put mate (jagex edit :p) on and bam!

Just like I said.. it all depends, if the sitiuation was the same as of a 15 year old, then it would be true what you are saying.

Then he sould just click the red X and go socialise.

Btw, would also mean that the average age of 34 by looking at all gamers should go to 15 cuz every game is waste of time. You don't get shit of out it, you put money in but you don't get moneynor time back.

Have to partially agree with this.

But there is a diference between playing a game for fun and obsessivly playing. I'm 21 and my mates know I play runescape, hey, they even tried to play to play it, and some still do. If you've done your "obligations/expectations" it's alright to get some rest. Some get their rest sleeping 24/7, some do sports, some play games. (Yes, Runescape is a game.) But you have to set your priorities... If you play scape 8 hours a day and fail at college/work you have to take a step back, and might come to the conclusion it's not "ok" to play scape at the age of 20+. If everything goes fine, hey, why not amuse yourself a bit with a game with some fun community.

I play the game obsessively when i want to get something like turmoil; like right now im clocking in at least 15-24hrs of game play b4 i sleep. and now ill sleep less that i need to get all the skills and quests done, for barrows and turm.

I go to work, work hard, come home, grab a beer and chillax on rs for a bit, If i'm dating i call my girl over and have some wine with her, we fuck a bit/go to a club, or if i'm not feelin it i just chill on rs with friends when i'm bored.

Tbh there is a way to balance Rs and Irl, but its different for everyone, so coming on forums and asking everyone is pointless, because all your going to get are mixed stories.

Find out for your self.

I  <3 you and SMD :)
