I am a Christian for many reasons. And there are ignorant moron Christians and ignorant moron Christians who hate on some obsessive Christians that are ignorant and stupid and generalize that as everyone in the Religion. See, there is ignorant people everywhere and in every group. But I am a Christian and have done a lot of philosophical thinking and I still believe. Some people are not Christians because hippies arent and they want to go with the flow and be cool or "be different" in the same waay that everyone else is being different... logic. anyway there are stupid people everywhere and I feel like this topic is a better face to face conversation.

Yes, im not going to argue about if there is a God or not but i do believe in him from personal experiences, also I've been going to a christian church for over 16 years.

If you can read through Leviticus and still endorse the bible as anything more than symbolism than you are a profoundly disturbed individual. That being said, there are a lot of good lessons in the tenets of Christianity, though the suggested practice is disgustingly misguided.

You talked a lot without making a single point. Hippies aren't? People want to be cool? Maybe people don't associate themselves with Christianity because the bible suggests murdering your wife for infidelity, and allows you to beat your slave within inches of death as long as they return to their feet within two days. Food for thought... speaking of food here is a great passage from Leviticus 11 demonstrating the fucking ridiculousness of what you all subscribe too.

11 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 2 “Say to the Israelites: ‘Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat: 3 You may eat any animal that has a divided hoof and that chews the cud.

24 “‘You will make yourselves unclean by these; whoever touches their carcasses will be unclean till evening.25 Whoever picks up one of their carcasses must wash their clothes, and they will be unclean till evening.

Want to get enlightened? Stop subscribing to everything you are told and do some interpreting, find out what the Bible Torah and Quran are actually getting at, because ignorance is not only annoying, it is also contagious. There are a slew of valuable lessons in each and every religious text, to subscribe to one individual one verbatim is to absolutely write yourself off as an intelligent human being.

Religion finds those worthy enough to understand it, I'm all for believing I'm just not wise enough to comprehend those things needed to become a believer.

you probably are wise enough... in the Christian faith it really doesnt matter who you are, God loves errbody

Im not the person to talk to about religion I dont know enough about it and I'll admit that, but I am a Christian and it's rude and it says something about a person iff they hate on someone for what they believe which is a lot of what I found on this post... but thats just how some people are and we have to live with them. and I may be able to argue with you but I sadly don't have the time or energy

There is no proven answer and never will be.

same can be said for the big bang where did the matter come from to create it? so on and so forth 

 

kind of weird when you think about it that there has never just been nothing at all and then you wonder why the fuck are we here and you think about how there has just forever been space but no one will ever know what came before it or what could happen when it just disappears

same can be said for the big bang where did the matter come from to create it? so on and so forth

kind of weird when you think about it that there has never just been nothing at all and then you wonder why the fuck are we here and you think about how there has just forever been space but no one will ever know what came before it or what could happen when it just disappears

makes me feel so small thinking about what came before the Big Bang and before that and before that.

Simple minded people look to God for the answer like they did in Greek and Mayan times when they needed answers for things they couldn't comprehend with the technology they had.

many people look to religion after they have close friends/family that die many people just don't like the idea of there being nothing after you die and take comfort in the idea of god and having someone watch over you and going somewhere after you die 

 

its honestly just the cunts that blow themselves up or try to push religion onto others that make them all look like idiots
