I have had my computers seized twice under the Computer Crimes act.

1. Creating a false belief

2. Using a carrier service to harass

3. Fraud

4. Impersonating a police Office.

1. We did prank calls using Skype, Rung the police reporting fraudulent crimes that had happened, mainly targeting the same person. Said that a kid was cultivating marajuana, rung up as the kid himself claiming his dad had been raping me for several years.

2. Using skype to prank call is a crime :O.

3. DDoS charges filed against me, but could not be proved.

4. I didn't do this one, haha, but we rung our targets parents, telling them officer whatever calling frolm computer crimes (there son is a nerd), saying their son was involved in child pornography rings, told the parents to pack up the computers and deliver them to the police station (THIS WORKED.) once this was done a big investigation was done, we were NOT traced, we were reported by the person himself, as he knew it was us.

Currently I am pending charges, but I did not actually make any of the calls I am being charged for, so I won't be getting charged for listening.

I did a Californian (not full stop) stop at 6 am when no one was around me at a stop sign, I didn't see the police officer behind the tree next to a bridge on a motorcycle. Got my licenses 3 days ago at least he let me off with a warning :)

Unfortunately :s

We were imitating Gears of War in a parking lot, just causing pure mayhem for absolutely no reason. Cop stops us, sees that all my buddies are like 6"+, and he goes on his radio, "Need backup ASAP!"

I got searched by this wicked hot cop with a really tight uniform, she had to have been in her early 20's. Was nais B)

For some reason the guy kept asking if we had dope, so what's he do? He makes sure to get his backup peoples to check the inside of the hood in my hoodie, as well as under my hat, to see if we had anything... Then he freaked out on my buddy for calling him "Sir". Did I mention he almost ran me over? O_O

In the end, we got off free because we weren't doing shit. We went to my buddy's house, sat and played Call of Duty till like 3 in the morning, went outside, made hotdogs on the barbecue, then went egging around the neighbourhood. We then went back to his house, sat there for like an hour, then got up and went to the convenience store to get popsicles.

Shit was so fun :D

1st: Public urination: Was blazed with my friend Steph and we both needed to piss badly so we went to a tree and this one police officer walked up to us and gave us a $150 fine.

2nd: Bus with no ticket: Plain and simple with my mate Evan.

3rd: Had alchohol on me when I'm only 15: Parents called, forgot how much the fine was.

4th: Was going to kill myself by sleeping on some train tracks, This copper chick pulled me off and fined me $350.

Not a bad wrap IMO.

Fell asleep outside a girls house with a friend of mine, slept on some random guys driveway drunk as fuck.

Woke up to sirens, and him calling our parents even though I was 18. No fine, but my friend who was in the car a block down drove away. -.-

The bitch we were waiting for to let us in, passed out drunk on her bed. LOL

Not serious trouble, but police do tend to have it in for me.

Riding the train without a ticket, we offered to pay for a ticket when we were stopped but the guards told us we couldn't do that. Ten minutes later we had police, staff members from high up in that train company, all over the platform telling me I better tell them where I live, ect. The whole time the guards saying we refused to pay. I lost my temper, started shouting telling the guard how much of a 'fucking loser' he is.

Plenty of times for drinking, trespassing, skipping school, vandalising, ect. Never been arrested or anything though.

Crue Nation

Shoplifted $2 in crap from a grocery store. Got caught and police had to drive me home and got a civil service act thing and had to pay $20 instead of $2, was pissed off but didn't go on my record.

Underage drinking at a party, was like $100 fine.

I was drunk at 4am in a bus with 2 friends (i think...) when some cops come in and start checking people... and i got angry at one of them who said something while looking at me (i thought it was something bad about me).

I ended up at the police station till noon

You just admitted and/or incriminated yourself in that statement. But no. I encrypt all my shit. Why is this? If your crossing the boarder to the USA (or in the states for that matter) and the border guard asks you to turn on your laptop so they can view documents, you let them. If they find your super secret hidden truecrypt volume and they ask you to decrypt it you say I'd like to engage my fifth ammendment right (Boucher vs Vermont). This works because your password is an extension of your mind and by revealing it you would incriminate yourself criminally (potentially). Additionally, the docuements of the drive are unknown to the government and if you provide them with documents (by decrypting them) you are implicitly testifying against yourself as you are bringing in new knowledge to the court that it is not aware of which is clearly against your fifth ammendment right (not to be compellled to be a witness against oneself). Now if your a dumbass and you decrypt it and they see files, then your fucked, according to Boucher vs Vermont (unless an appeal is accepted) you need to decrypt the information without giving them the password (but suppose you forgot your password lol then you win or your held in contempt until you can prove you forgot something).

In canada charter right 11 section c and 13 provide near identical protections to the fifth ammendment which means in Canada one could engage charter right 13  and 11 section c

ANYWAYS

As a result of you encrypting your shit, it will litterly take hundreds of years with modern technology to decrypt the information and therefore prove your guilt or innocence. In your case, if you encrypted your whole drive and engaged your fifth ammendment right (you dumb fuck) you would be out a computer but your legal problems would end. Also argue that they need your hard drive, not your computer so you can get your decent rigs back. Argue the same thing with all the other devices for drama. For the future, try using True Crypt (free) or Pretty Good Privacy. I use true crypt but PGP has some nice features such as a delete or change the encryption after X failed attempts ...

I haven't gotten in trouble with the law directly. When i've dealt with police I generally called them swines and asked for their badge information and said "I wish to engage Charter Right 8, 13 and 11 immdiately" and the police say "woah there no need to be technical. explain what your doing" and I just shut the fuck up and say "I'm exercising these rights. I demand they be accomdated" and they usually fuck off. The one time I was arrest with my peers I told them "Get the same lawyer so we can't incrimminate eachother and get off" and it worked. We allegedly displayed traits of drunkeness and obscene behaviour, which citing charter right 3,4 and 5 allowed us to win and confuse the arresting officer to not reading us our rights which nulled the arrested (but they only listened to it when our lawyer came at like 2 in the morning lol)
