id say go with fire blast. it's a happy medium between wave and bolt. you wont have to restore too much. the problem is, he freezes a lot. you cant eat when he freezes you. the game doesn't let you..therefore when you do get a hit in, it may as well be a goodie

I'd have to agree with using blasts and waves when you can, thats how I did it and it worked perfectly.

theres a place you can set it up beside the magic rock and you don't have to move to reload or anything.
