Federally legalize Marijuana. Far too much money is being spent processing non-violent criminals and keeping them incarcerated. Not to mention the time/money it takes for police officials to enforce it when they could be tackling larger-scale issues. Furthermore, the tax revenue generated off of legal weed sales in the allowed states is MASSIVE. For example, Colorado has collected a total of $1.1 BILLION in weed-related tax revenue since 2014. Fund higher wages for public school teachers, public works projects, wildlife restoration... etc.. it's endless.

 

Oh, and it's also a public safety issue. No more standing on the corner in the hood waiting for some sketchy dude to bring you a gram of oregano just to get robbed.
