Manchester City's Defence

Able

Recommended Posts

Their defence for this season consists of:

Ederson (£35M)

Walker (£50M)

Stones (£47.5M)

Otamendi (£28.5M)

Mendy (£52M)

Bravo (£17M)

Mangala (£31.8M)

Kompany (£6M)

+ (RUMOURED) Danilo (£26.5M)

> Total = 267.8M (294.3M if they buy Danilo)

> NEARLY £300M ON DEFENDERS AND NONE OF THEM WILL BE THE BEST IN THEIR POSITION HAHA

Thoughts?

One word - yikes

To be fair you wanted to sign Bonucci for a while and as soon as you sign Rudiger he decides he wants to leave Juventus

John Stones is a quality cb, especially on the ball. The problem is that city have 6 players in front of their back four who don't / can't defend and had two slow fullbacks every game last season.

As for 50m on both walker and that mendy guy , they seem to just be quick and nothing out the ordinary.

Kompany is without a doubt the best CB in the league and one of the best in the world (When he isnt injured that is)

Apart from that the weakest part of city is the defence so obviously we are trying to find something that works. When do we, watch out because you're all fucked LOL

Did you watch any of City's games last season? John stones looks fucking awful, not sure who you're watching. Fernandinho and toure can't defend? thats a confusing one too

Toure is extremely lazy and gets caught out too often and fernandinho isn't the best defensively either. City need someone who is literally going to sit infront of the back four with the way they want to leave wingers way up the pitch and fullbacks bombing on. Stones made mistakes but he's one of the best cbs I'n the prep on the ball, he needs to learn when to hoof it though.
