Finally maxed out, shoutout to my boy @Braden, who got me 97-99 HP, I recommend you buy every single NMZ/HP service from him.

There have always be certain clans that will do anything to try and get the slightest advantage over their opponents; whether that's going into a fight with a slight opt advantage when people have agreed to fight matched in the wild, bringing a couple of mains to a fight or, in this instance have superior defence averages/armour to the rest of the community. Thankfully, there are not as many of these scummy clans around now (at least from what I've seen compared to 2 years ago). The majority of the scene are finally realising that clean fights amongst pures are a lot more fun than fights littered with mains/ddosing; so hopefully not many other clans will follow suit.

That being said I would love if I could have a maxed turmoil pure again, that shit was lit.

The cyclical nature of all this shit never stops being amusing to me. The worst clan that considers themselves part of the competition for number one overall does something that gives the man advantage that doesn't come close to passing the sniff test and other pleb clans fall in line. EoP embracing 20 defense is the least surprising thing to anyone who has even a cursory understanding of their role in RS clanning history. Also ran trying to use anything to their advantage to stay competitive. 20 defense and 30 def got phased out as did mains but at the end of the day those people will do whatever they can to put a victory topic out on SB at the end of the day.

Rather see the entire community stick with the 1-5 def thing. Looks cleaner, although there will be several clans that'll eventually cave to accepting higher defence. Not surprised eop is one of those clans lmao.

Seems a lot of clans are pretty much accepting it now, which is puzzling to me to say the least. Oh well can't be stopped I guess, clans will always look for an advantage when they're shit matched.

I'll take a different approach and not make a list but it's something that I thought about when we opened NME (admittedly in 2011...), so I'll post some thoughts. The best balance tended to come when you had two leaders who were calm and collected with no ego. They're able to take a step back and view things objectively - take a long-term approach but also knows when to rack up the pressure and build on pre-existing momentum to make the next step up when needed. Although they need to know every member of the clan and become friends with them, it's also about finding a balance of keeping people's respect and for them to be able to take you seriously when needed. The best warlords I've appointed/worked alongside always had a little bit of an ego. They need to believe in what they're calling and the members need to buy into what they say to ensure that everyone follows the strategy/calls they make. That said there's a fine line between having an ego and them feeling untouchable, so it's down to the leaders to ensure the balance and keep them in check. I was never a fan of having more than one warlord but I guess some people are better in F2P than P2P, so sometimes it makes sense to have two (they should perhaps have a few back-up callers but Warlords should be in charge of who they are). High Council's should advise the leaders and play devil's advocates on ideas when needed. Obviously they need to be active and key figures on trips (able to step in when leaders aren't around) but I've always viewed it as a stepping stone to future leaders rather than a 'reward' rank. Smaller ranks below that should primarily be about promoting activity; getting mini's, creating PK's trips, hosting events, ect.
