Callum Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Hey guys, I've recently bought a new car and I have ran into problems so I am looking for abit of help, I am aware I could just Google this but I never know what to believe. So basically I bought a car off a friend, its a 2008 Honda Civic Si and I recently changed the battery for it. Now when I power up my car the radio/sterio (cant use AUX cable or CD or anything) asks for a code, I have no idea what the code is and neither does the previous owner, as he has never changed the battery. So I am wondering if anyone out there knows if there is a default code I could use to reset the radio or is there something I can do to reset the system (press break 3 times or some crap) Posting here because I know we have a few car guys out there with some good advice.
Rhin0TankRS Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 i think you will have to get a honda dealer to set it for you
Yupzy Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Best thing to do is take it to your local garage mate
Nilo Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 yeah I know what the problem is you need to go the honda dealership, they are the only one who can help you they will give you the code and I think the fee is like $20 or something
Wally1337 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 send it to a certified garage with a Honda scanner to reset its computer so it recognizes the new battery.
Uaex-Ali Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Take it to Honda garage , they'll probably do it for free...if not pay me 5m rsgp i give you cheat codes
