X + Defence level +2 = your Combat level.

(X = your highest stat level from Magic, Ranged, Attack or Strength).

Impact on pures: 60 attack pure is redundant and also turm is even more op because prayer/summoning/constitution isnt taken into account.

99 attack/99str/40 def 99 sum 99 pray gunna rule the wildy even more now

so wait what you are saying is my completely maxed out rune pure is even more valuable? Oh sweet time to cash in on dat $$$$

To further encourage everyone to fight creatures designed for their level, we are removing the Combat XP for fighting creatures more than 30 levels below you. Drops and Slayer XP will remain the same.

We’re making this change purely because working out your Combat level is, at present, complicated and confusing, for new and experienced players alike. We're removing any impact on your Combat level from Prayer, Summoning and Constitution levels. While they do have a clear and desirable effect, trying to represent that in the Combat level calculation is complex and isn’t really necessary.

60 atk 99 str 1 def 1 pray 1 mage 1 range = same cb as 99 str/atk/mage/pray/range...

Fcuk logic??? wait till you get this

for tanks: 99def + 99 range = 200 cb and so are max mains...

I honestly don't know why you're complaining?

This is a GOOD THING for pures; anything with a defence level and decent stats (45+ and 85 Str) will be out of our combat range entirely - meaning we ONLY fight pures (at 1 def) and max out around 103 combat.

Absolutely no advantage being a pure now, im very interested to what he has to say on pures in his final blog that he mentions cos he has definetly killed pures with this update, this makes me just want to go main but Im going to hold off at least for now and wait

They also said the Max hp with armour will be 15,000 and without 990 so that will probs impact on pures more.

I don't know if you guys missed it, but you will not be able to train on monsters that are 30 combat under yours, so no experiments, and probs a few levels shy of bandits (74).

I think that will do a major impact on training because we are obligated to fight higher levels monsters while having 1 def, so well have to pray against almost every single monster to stay a decent amount of time there :s
