watch me tb Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 my buddy who knows nothing about comps started download windows 7 off some website where college students get it for 30 bucks. he came over to my house with his comp after he already bought it, so he could use my external hd to back up his files. i noticed he downloaded the 64 bit win7... when he has a 32bit. its already downloaded, what will happen if i install it? should i? any way i can get switch for 32?
VxT Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 What? He Downloaded 64x, when he has 32x of what? Do you mean he already has 32x of another operating system (XP/Vista) installed? Nothing bad will happen if you install 64x, worst thing that could happen is you won't be able to find drivers for some things you have, but that shouldn't be an issue unless you have a really old PC. You want 64x Windows 7 if you have 3GB+ memory, if you don't, get more memory & 64x anyway.
