laptop recommendations

looking to get a new laptop I am willing to spend up to like ~1k for it, but I want to make sure I get a decent one so I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions, my current laptop is old and it gets loud af after being on for a couple of hours

 

It basically will be used only these things but im on the comp alot.

teamspeak

osrs

google/chrome

schoolwork/microsoft

[Divine]

macbook pro

build a desktop for like 700.. save lots of money while getting a shitload more out of it.

I'm assuming he wants a laptop because he wants to be able to take it to campus/dorm/home when he goes? If he wanted a desktop he would have asked for a desktop recommendation.
