Looking at getting a new PC in the new year. I'm not sure what spec i should get, I only really play Runescape and sometimes Total War games via Steam.

My current specs for this heap of junk are:

e19d8e426816773afcf9da9c832a72d5.png

Runs slower than my nan, i lagg quite a bit whilst tanking and general pking. Food doesn't click etc etc

Im not sure what im looking at when it comes to getting a new PC.

I know a Intel core processor is my best bet and a Nvidia GFX card but not sure what else. Can anyone give advice? Dont want a gaming pc but something that will make RS a better experience and so i can actually Pk and tank properly lol.

If you got some money build a pc its cheaper then a complete for the most part. im running an old HP complete which still plays most games good. Really anything new will run runescape fine it doesnt take a lot. I know for some people like yourself if you are using osbuddy, that may be what is lagging your computer. It has very high CPU usage.

well 3gb ram is probs the biggest single reason ur lagging

rs and osrs specificly doesnt use that much of cpu but if i were u id just think of other needs u might have for the comp

if u need mobility then laptop obviously but if u dont then id go with a pc, can have pretty good one for 400-500 euros, there are websites that build them for u7

good processor, 8gb ram and decent graphics card and u dont need anything else unless u want to play gta v on full hd or something idk

Don't need the best specs for runescape tbh but if u play other games then i5 is probably a must and a fair bit of ram

i5 and 4+GB of ram and you're straight dude runescape is old as fuck lol

i5 with 8gb ram would be more than perfect

honestly it shouldnt be much to get a computer to run runescape, it's not that tough of a game.

If you plan on doing other gaming then yeah drop $$$$$

But no point if it's literally just for rs

Desktop or laptop, budget?

No real budget, but not spending loads to play runescape. Maybe 400-500 GBP I found some decent laptops for that.

I might be using PC specialist to just build me one I have no time to build it :p

Thanks for the feedback brahs, I'll aim for i5 8 GB ram minimum then :)

Mate people who hate laptops are just haters.

My laptop has an i7 with 16GB of Ram and a 500gb SSD thing is slick as a dick. But its also a macbook pro that i took and upgraded the fuck out of so not cheap but overall good at literally everything

get i7 2.9ghz+ 16gb ram if u plan on keeping it for a long time, may as well pay a little more money for it to last longer

also ssd is probs worth getting + a decent graphics card?

I agree tbh might aswell invest in something instead of buying another one down the line!
