He forces everyone to play up to, and above their usual standard, and just overall makes his teammates better and more competitive. If you're caught being lazy, he'll call you out on it. Ex: At Euro 2016 QF during penalty kicks, Joao Moutinho was trying to shy away from taking a shot. Ronaldo came out to him, and basically says: "What's up? You take good penalties, come take it. If we lose, whatever. Just come take the kick" It's stuff like that which RM actually lost in losing Ronaldo. Just adding Neymar, Hazard, etc isn't gonna suddenly bring that back.
