Personally love my Macbook use it for school being a web designer & graphic designer, use it to scape here and there. If you're not a big fan of Mac's I got to use the new Surface book (Microsoft) and it definitely gives the Macbook a run for its money with a Windows Based OS, you can setup your Mac to have both operating systems if you wanted to rather easy, but personally I suggest Mac with a laptop if you go Desktop do a full custom build.

If 1500$ falls within Macbook range you could always consider them, they're good products but consider whether you plan on using most of the applications that are actually useful/necessary to be used on OS X. If you don't really have special use for OS X then you're probably better off getting a Windows Ultrabook. Of course it all depends on your preferences but you should look around for the mid-high end ultrabook range. I got my XPS 13 two or three years ago and I love it: its screen quality is great, it's SSD quick and the weight of the laptop is obviously a fantastic. Battery Life is good but a bit less than the average Macbook, but those balance each other out (again it's just what you prefer). They've only gotten better since so I'd take a look and post a few possibilities below for people to look at =P

i finished mm long time ago without realizing i couldnt go back, as i just came back to osrs. Ended up blowpiping at nmz till 99 range:) alot cheaper and more afkable than chinning ;p Alched 99 mage, did the str afk in nmz, goodluck grinding bro:)

To be honest if you want to get stats quickly your doing it the best way. Otherwise the alternatives will be blowpiping and firewaving in NMZ. There's nothing else in game that's as efficient, unless you wanna camp experiments and pest control ;)

Well, if you run out of money you can always take the easy way out by buying gp.
